Peregrin “Perry” Camilon Francisco

Perry is a wife to Dr. Rey M. Francisco, a retired Ophthalmologist. She is a mother to Anthony and Abigail, and a “Lola” to Bradley and Taylor.
She retired from Sentara Healthcare after 36 years of service, where she worked in a variety of nursing positions, from staff nursing, nursing management and nursing administration. She is most proud of being a nurse educator. She established the Sentara Healthcare Corporate Physician Education. She is dedicated to her professional involvement with the Philippine Nurses Association of Virginia (PNAVA), the Philippine Nurses Association of America (PNAA), where she served in many leadership roles.
She served the State of Virginia, as a member of the Virginia Board of Nursing from 2007 to 2011. She was instrumental for the elimination of the CGFNS test requirement for foreign educated nurses.A graduate of the the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital School of Nursing and the University of the Philippines College of Nursing, she served as the President of the UP Nursing Alumni Association International (UPNAAI) in 2012-2013. She established the UPNAAI DELMARVA Chapter in 2009 and served as its founding President. She also completed her Masters Degree in Health Services Administration from Central Michigan University.
She continues to stay relevant as a member of PNAVA, by actively participating in many of its activities, committees and serving as speaker on issues of Nursing Leadership whenever requested. She is happy being of service to the community.
