The PNAVA Nursing Scholarship Applications for 2024 are now being accepted. The completed applications are due by November 15, 2025.

The Nursing scholarship of $1000 is awarded annually.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Proof of current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate and/or graduate nursing program.
  2. Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 or better. An official transcript of record must accompany the application.
  3. Two letters of references
    1. Letter of recommendation from a faculty member
    1. Letter of recommendation from a supervisor or a community leader

4.  Brief 250-word essay typewritten, double spaced indicating the following:

  1. Reason for financial assistance
  2. Academic professional goals
  3. Challenges encountered in pursuing a nursing career and how he/she has overcome them.
  4. Extracurricular activities and community involvement
  5. Resume
